The University Library of Columbus (ULC) is located in the Columbus Learning Center, a unique community center that supports education, economic development, and quality of life in Bartholomew and surrounding counties. It serves IU Columbus students, faculty, and staff in addition to those at Ivy Tech Community College and Purdue Polytechnic.
The freedom to read and learn is essential in the higher education environment in which the library exists. The library is a facility that values diversity and learning. For these reasons, ULC endorses the Library Bill of Rights, Freedom to Read Statement, and Freedom to View Statement as delineated by the American Library Association in support of intellectual freedom.
The ULC enhances and supports teaching, learning, research, and curriculum needs by providing an array of user-centered resources and services. Local residents and citizens may also utilize the library and many of its resources .
