After Admission

Newly Admitted Students

As a newly admitted student, you have some next steps to complete before enrolling in courses. Depending on your student type, your next steps will be communicated with you differently.

If you are a freshman, transfer student, returning student, or international student, you should refer to your Welcome Packet for your next steps. Fall semester Welcome Packets are sent by University College beginning in late February or early March.

If you are a visiting student, graduate student, or Early College student, you should refer to your acceptance letter for your next steps.

The most common next steps are listed below. Not all students are required to do each step, so be sure to check your Welcome Packet or acceptance letter to see which steps you need to complete.

Still Unsure?

That's okay! If you unsure as to what your next steps are, don't hesitate to reach out to your admissions counselor, academic advisor, or the University College office at any point! We'll be able to tell you what you've completed, what still needs to be done, and in what order you should complete your tasks. Getting a head start in early spring (for fall enrollment) is highly encouraged. A head start helps ensure you get the classes you want at the times you want and lets you relax over the summer knowing you're ready to start in the fall.
