How to Enroll

Current Indiana University students

If you are a current IU student at a campus other than Columbus and want to take a course here this summer, you will need to complete the temporary intercampus transfer form through your current campus. Check with your advisor if you are not sure where to find that form.

Current IU Columbus students can just register as they normally would for any term.

Students enrolled at another college or university's

If you are coming home to Columbus for the summer and want to take a course or two, you will need to apply as a “Visiting Student.”

We highly suggest that you talk with the advisor at your current school before you register to make sure that the course credits are transferable.

Graduating high school seniors

If you are graduating from high school this May and want to take courses before you start college, you will need to apply to IU Columbus as a “Visiting Student,” to take courses over the summer.

We highly suggest that you talk with the academic advisor at the college you plan to attend before registering to be sure that the course credits will transfer.

What if I have already been admitted to IU Columbus for the fall?

Even if you have already been admitted for the fall semester at IU Columbus, you still need to apply separately for summer classes as a “Visiting Student.” If you have questions, talk with your admissions counselor or advisor and they can walk you through the process.
