Join a Club at IU Columbus

The IU Columbus campus is a diverse and lively community. We are dedicated to providing a safe space in which you can explore all aspects of campus life, whether academic, athletic, cultural, political, recreational, or social.

You are an important and valued member of the IU Columbus family. We are here to help you get connected with campus life, make new friends, gain leadership skills, and explore new areas of interest.

There are a number of clubs and organizations for you to join on campus, and it's easy to start your own club if you want.

Clubs on Campus

Below is a list of current clubs and other organizations on campus. If you are interested or want more information, please email the Faculty/Staff sponsor.
  • Biology Club – for students interested in biology and/or careers in the science field.

  • Bowling Club – a monthly social bowling club for anyone who bowls or folks who just want to come and watch.

  • Criminal Justice Club – for students interested in criminal justice and/or careers in criminal justice.

  • Crochet Club – for students who like to crochet socially.

  • Feminism Club – seeks to educate campus about social injustices, equal rights for all.Faculty/Staff Sponsor: Julie Goodspeed-Chadwick (juligood@iu.edu)
  • Kappa Delta PI, Alpha Beta Psi Chapter (KDP) – Honor Society for Students in our education division.

  • Latino-American Organization of Volunteers in Education (LOVE) – for Latino students or any students interested in volunteering to give back.

  • Purpose Club – for Christian students to fellowship and socialize.

  • Talking Leaves – the IU Columbus student literary magazine. Opportunities to submit your creative work, or to be a part of the editorial team. Learn more on the Talking Leaves web page.

Student Government Activities Board (SGAB)

Student government plays an important role in maintaining the quality of campus life at IU Columbus. The Student Government Activities Board (SGAB) is dedicated to enhancing the campus experience for students of all ages and backgrounds. SGAB members serve as the voice of the student body with university leadership and ensure that students are heard.

Start your own club!

Starting your own club is pretty easy – just find five students with a similar interest and a faculty or staff member to sponsor you. Then, reach out to the Office of Student affairs and they will help you get the club set up.
