The Groups Scholars Program was created to increase college attendance among first-generation students at Indiana University Columbus. We're excited to launch the first-ever IU Columbus Scholars Program — a new initiative designed to help incoming students make a strong start to their college journey. As part of the program, students will take a free college course during IU Columbus's second summer session.
This course will equip students with essential skills for academic and personal success in college. Scholars will have the unique opportunity to connect with IU Columbus faculty and staff, helping them build familiarity and confidence in the college environment before the fall semester begins.
Students will benefit from a small class setting that allows for personalized attention, ongoing guidance, and tailored support. Our goal is to ensure each participant makes a smooth and successful transition into college life.
