Biographical Statement
Dr. Caroline Sims earned her BSN from the University of Indianapolis and her MSN and PhD from the IUPUI. Her doctoral dissertation was focused on the transition of the new graduate nurse into practice. She has over thirty years of experience in leadership in healthcare and more than a decade of experience as adjunct faculty in bachelors and masters nursing programs. She has extensive experience in clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and accreditation.
Dr. Sims’ professional interests include leadership in nursing and healthcare, professional practice of nursing, regulatory compliance, clinical quality, mentoring and workforce development, new graduate nurse transition into practice, and teaching and education.
