Dr. Laura Watson has taught future nurses for ten years, and has been with IU Columbus for nine years. She has worked as a staff nurse on Labor and Delivery Units from 1996 to 2019. She is employed at a local hospital as a clinical nurse educator. Dr. Watson received her doctorate in nursing practice from University of Southern Indiana. Her doctoral focus was improving nursing care in infants with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome. Dr. Watson provides volunteer work in the community and is a member of several professional organizations. She also is the director of the General Studies Degree program at IU Columbus.
