With a background of more than 30 years in finance and marketing roles in industry, Dr. Mohler was provided the opportunity to join the IU Columbus faculty originally in adjunct and visiting roles and is now an assistant professor, leading undergraduate and graduate management and economics courses. In addition to leadership roles in industry, Mohler also fulfilled leadership, faculty, and administration roles for Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis for a number of years.
As a life-long learner, Mohler seeks to communicate excitement for learning and the course topics in an interactive course environment. Following completion of his Doctor of Business Administration degree in 2019, Mohler’s research interests lie in strategy, marketing, social media, and small to medium enterprises. Mohler attempts to ensure contemporary issues, such as social media and entrepreneurship, are used in the classroom to anchor the concepts presented in text materials.
