Earth Week is a celebration of our environment. IU Columbus participates in Arbor Day activities with tree planting and Earth Day activities by planting flowers at the Transformations Sculpture located at the front of IU Columbus in the Reeve's Plaza, along the path leading to the Koi Pond, or planting flowers for graduation. Planting flowers reduces the amount of carbon we have in our environment. During the process of photosynthesis, the flowers leaves absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. Also, planting flowers can help reduce erosion and flooding by keeping soil in its place.
We will be celebrating Earth Week again this coming year, stay tuned for flyers and information about activities!
