Each year, IU Columbus honors faculty members who epitomize the highest level of excellence in pursuit of the university’s mission and encourages them to continue their outstanding work.
Ideally, awards go to candidates whose contributions are widely recognized both locally and nationally. For details on eligibility, nomination, and deadlines for faculty awards, consult the faculty awards protocol.
Indiana University established the Trustees Teaching Awards (TTA) to recognize and enhance excellent teaching at Indiana University, especially at the undergraduate level.
Eligibility & Criteria
The Faculty Awards Committee follows the IU Trustees' Teaching Award (TTA) guidelines and, according to the annual allocation from IU Indianapolis, selects tenure-related faculty and full-time-non-tenure-track faculty whose primary duty is teaching and who have demonstrated that they are the best teachers.
Individuals must have completed at least three years of full-time service at the rank of lecturer or higher at IU Columbus or IU Indianapolis to be eligible. Previous TTA recipients are not eligible to receive the award again until two years have passed since receiving the TTA.
Please submit all 2023-2024 TTA nominations to Kailey Warner by Monday, February 26, 2024.
