All vehicles parked in a permit lot at Indiana University Columbus must display a current parking permit or "hang tag" from the rear-view mirror. The hang tag permit letter designation (i.e., "EM", "ST”, or "D") should be clearly visible from the front of the vehicle. The owner of any vehicle that receives an IU Columbus parking ticket may be sent to collections if fines are not paid.
When snow and ice cover the parking lot, faculty, staff, and students should make every attempt to remove their personal vehicles from campus parking areas. In the event of a heavy snow, unmoved vehicles may become "plowed in" and covered by snow removal equipment, which is an unavoidable component of the snow removal process.
In addition to IU Columbus regulations, students, faculty, staff, and visitors are subject to parking rules and regulations set forth by Indiana University (where applicable) on the Columbus campus.
To purchase your permit, visit One.IU and search for "Parking Permit (All IU Campuses)."This will take you to the IU Parking Portal. Click "Get Permits" and use your university username and password to log in. You will need your license plate number, vehicle make and plate year. Once you reserve your permit you will have the option of either paying via credit/debit card or having the cost of the permit added to your student bursar account. After you have purchased your permit you will be able to print a temporary permit to display until you receive yours in the mail.
