Leigh Britt is a lecturer of mathematics in the Division of Science at IU Columbus. She graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics Education from Virginia Tech and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with a mathematics focus from Indiana University (IUPUI). She taught secondary mathematics at Lloyd C. Bird High School in Richmond, Virginia from before moving to Columbus, IN where she taught secondary mathematics at Columbus North High School. In 1994, Leigh began teaching adult education mathematics courses followed by teaching academic courses as an adjunct lecturer for the IUPU – Columbus (presently IU Columbus) campus with a focus on developmental mathematics. Since 2016, Leigh has been a full-time faculty member for the Division of Science teaching developmental algebra courses, pre-service elementary teacher mathematics courses and liberal arts mathematics courses.
