Mission
Our mission is to be the first choice for Hoosiers who seek a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Indiana University while enjoying a small campus experience in Columbus, Indiana. Our purpose is to deliver academic excellence and prepare you for success in the professional job market and/or graduate-level education by providing a strong foundational knowledge of the psychological sciences.
The psychology undergraduate program fosters intellectual and personal growth through personable interactions with our faculty in psychological inquiry, mentored research, and community outreach. We value diversity of all kinds, and we are committed to providing a safe environment that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
Program Overview
Psychology—the study of mind and behavior—is a broad, multifaceted science that is composed of many subdisciplines such as social, clinical, cognitive, and neuroscience. A Bachelor’s in psychology creates opportunities for you to pursue careers in counseling, social work, clinical psychology, and behavior analysis, and prepares you for graduate school. You can also pursue a Bachelor’s in psychology to enhance your competitiveness in your current job or prepare you to excel in other careers such as military, law enforcement, and software development, among many others.
