The MA in mental health counseling will provide you with generalist training emphasizing developmental, preventative, and strength-based approaches. As a graduate, you may seek work in community or social service agencies, like mental health clinics, substance abuse treatment centers, domestic violence shelters, women’s centers, or rehabilitation programs for those who are incarcerated.
