The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at IU Columbus offers a variety of resources for students, faculty, staff, and area educators.
Major Initiatives
College Readiness - In collaboration with state and local partners, resources were developed to more clearly define college readiness and promote improved curriculum alignment between K-12 and higher education.
Dictionary Project - The Dictionary Project provided dictionaries to third-grade students at public and private K-12 schools in Bartholomew County as well as home-schooled third grade students.
Gateway Community of Practice - Success in gateway courses improves student retention and degree completion leading to improved career and employment opportunities in the region. The initiative included both instructor-driven and student-delivered strategies and collected and analyzed data to determine the most impactful approaches to increase gateway course success.
Purposeful Pathway Project (P3) - The goal of P3 is to make a “student-ready campus” which is welcoming for all students with an eye toward individual needs and aspirations.
