Why English as a New Language?
You can increase your marketability as an elementary education teacher with a dual license in teaching English as a new language (ENL). This concentration will enable you to assist children who are learning English develop their academic skills.
As an education student, you will benefit from small classes sizes which allow for a higher degree of individualized mentoring and instructor interactions. Our program is designed to meet the State of Indiana REPA standards and is fully accredited through state and national accrediting organizations.
Once you complete all degree and program requirements, and pass your licensing exams, you'll be eligible to apply for both the elementary education and English as a new language licenses through the Indiana Department of Education's Licensing Verification and Information System (LVIS).
